Every billiards player knows that a perfectly executed break shot often decides the outcome of the game. The new Robertson “HiPower” Break and Break + Jump cues surpass all previous carbon developments in terms of power and precision. The manufacture of carbon is a highly complex process and requires high-tech conditions involving high temperatures (over 1300 degrees Celsius) under varying pressure conditions.
Compared to natural wood, carbon fibre composites have many advantages:
The carbon fabric is lighter, which results in significantly greater transfer of impact energy to the cue ball. Carbon is even harder than steel and has enormous tensile strength. This prevents any warping of the cue shaft which contributes to maximum precision and perfect ball control.
The outer layer of the shaft consists of a thin layer of carbon fibre, which makes the surface absolutely smooth and results in a ‘smooth finish’. Unlike with wooden tops, no glove is required, so you can simply concentrate on the shot.
