Billiard cloth requires regular maintenance to ensure consistent playing quality. The newly developed innovative product from Simonis is called "X-1".
This cleaning tool is based on the principles of static electricity and capillary action. Unlike a simple brush, which merely moves chalk dust from one place to another, the "X-1" cleans the billiard cloth of chalk dust deep down. Simply glide the cleaning device across the billiard table without applying pressure. This generates an electromagnetic charge that attracts all loose wool fibres and chalk dust into its high-tech textile fabric. The device’s fabric can be cleaned again simply by vacuuming or tapping it out. This virtually wear-free cleaning device is a very useful maintenance accessory and is indispensable, particularly for use on tournament billiard tables in billiard centres.
